Work

I make photographs about people, work, place and lived experience.

Some projects are made over a few days. Others take years. They tend to begin with something ordinary and stay with it long enough for something less obvious to emerge.

Featured Project

No Fixed Address

A first-person documentary project about being without a secure home while still working full-time as a mechanic.

A camping scene with a car on the left and a tent on the right in a grassy area, with trees in the background.

Other Projects

The Albums She Kept

A mountain with a rocky brown surface and a snow patch at the top, under a cloudy sky, with a small river flowing through the foreground.

An archive-led project built from my mother’s photographs, and from the family history held inside them.

Selected Photographs

People sitting on a pebble beach near a large concrete bridge over water, with children and dogs present.

A changing selection of images from the wider practice: people, places, work and the details that stay with me.

Places

A large ferry boat with 'Neptune Lines' written on its side sailing on calm water during sunset with clouds in the sky.

Photographs made around travel, landscape and the atmosphere of unfamiliar places.

People

Two young people, a woman in a blue dress and a man in a black tank top, are engaging in a playful pose in front of a building with yellow awnings. The woman is sitting on the man's shoulders, holding her arms out, and the man is standing with his legs apart, supporting her. There is a gray car parked on the street and a fountain with water in the foreground.

Portraits made with attention to character rather than performance.
